Our cell phone service has gone downhill. It's frustrating. The company we're with has locked us in under a contract, and even though we don't use anywhere near the minutes we've paid for, we're not able to change it, because they don't offer a plan with less minutes. It feels like such a waste. When our contract is up (not soon enough) we'll be making a change.
One option we're considering is TracFone. They offer plans with no contracts, credit checks, or activation/cancelation charges. So many features are available, ranging from a basic "candy bar" style phone, to phones with 'smart' features. You can choose to pay as you go, or get a monthly plan- but again, no contracts or cancelation fees.
TracFone also offers Calling for no additional cost to more than 60 international destinations. You can also purchase the option to double the minutes for the life of your phone for a one-time fee of $19.99, but some phones include this great deal.
It's the least expensive way to one and use a cell phone. That's why next time, we'll know to look there first. Here's what Real TracFone customers have to say: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dt-8JfPjbm4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
